- Unbiased health insurance counseling for individualized health care needs
- Understanding insurance rights as a health care consumer
- Assistance with locating a high risk health insurance policy or Medicare supplemental policy
- Access to care situations
- One-on-one patient assistance with insurance reimbursement problems
- Denied claims - Appeal letters, patient advocacy
- Product education and awareness for MDs and other Health Care Professionals
- Train mentors within the community - patients, caregivers, family members.
- Trained mentors will assist individuals through telephone and e-mail contact.
- Resources include IPF information, peer counseling training, access to community resources, direct oversight and guidance from coordinator, continuing education, availability for further referral.
- State-By-State Community Resource Guide - a tool to provide useful information for chronically ill patients seeking education, support or financial relief from a broad range of needs including:
- Medical and mental health treatment
- Insurance Assistance
- Legal Assistance
- Housing and utility needs
- Food banks
- Disability services
- Other necessary assistance
- This program will support the extended IPF community in the area of short term grief and loss. Caring Voice has on staff a certified grief and loss counselor and a licensed MSW specializing in family issues, coping and end of life situations.
