The CPF invites you to help us celebrate the 10-year mark by joining our 2011 national Walk for Their Next Breath. You are among those who truly understand the nature of the disease, the nature of the challenge for patients and their care-givers, and how urgently we must press for progress. By holding a walk in your town, whether big or small, you can help us make a statement to the public and to the federal government about our passion for generating change.

A walk is a simple but visible way to build crucial awareness of PF. The CPF does not expect you to undertake on a huge task, especially if this is a first event for you!

What we ask is that you invite at least 10 people to join you in the walk to celebrate these 10 years and the continued work to fight for a cure. This can be in a park, on a city street, or anywhere that could generate visibility for PF in your community If possible, ask those friends to bring another 10 folks with them, so that you can organically increase the number of participants. and provide for an enjoyable excursion.

The CPF staff will provide you with template letters of invitation and reminders to your friends and family, will assist you in writing a press release for your locale and will include you in the national press releases generated by the CPF. In addition, your walk can be featured on the CPF website, which will help you recruit additional participants.

Everyone holding a walk will be publicly recognized as a Walk for Their Next Breath team leader in our newsletter and on our website!

How to generate participants:
